Lake Worth Beach Commissioner misrepresents the biggest threats to the Everglades!

Places Illegal Migrants as more important than Jobs or futures or lives of Legal Lake Worth voters

Chris, if you acknowledge reading this, you know you can't argue the science. I have references for all claims - and you know my claims are true. This is not inflammatory ( as it would be enjoyable for me to make it) ... it is plain scientific truth, and it shows your behavior is inconsistent with your claims.

You are not being an "Environmental Warrior".. You are fighting on behalf of illegal migrants AGAINST your duty to the Legal Residents of Lake Worth that you were sworn in to protect. Your claims to the media and the court are fraudulent and despicable in this context.

While in the past I always believed you cared about Lake Worth more than most in city government, this attack on the National Security of America against crime and the theft of so many Legal American futures makes you an Enemy of the majority of legal residents of Lake Worth.

Damn, do you really think Mcvoy is doing that? wants illegals here?

The alligator alcatraz airport has been there for decades. What is different now?

That airport is nothing compared to the destruction of the everglades caused by the man-made Lake Okeechobee.

People that say they care about the everglades should be demanding that man-made Lake Okeechobee be returned to its pre-engineered condition.

Can't anyone remember the thick green slime that got exceptionally bad about 10 years ago? It was caused by the human modification of Lake Okeechobee.

He has spoken about this alot in the past. I believe, and he should chime in on this, that he believes that the illegal migrants DID NOT COMMIT A CRIME, and that they should have the right to remain...and live off our hard earned tax dollars to have our health care, educations and all other services--he does not care that they are illegal, and apparently he does not respect American Border laws. If a town commissioner thinks he can ignore some laws he does not like--I think this is a serious problem that needs to be immediately dealt with! But let's give him the opportunity to clarify this. I'd love to hear him say that illegals should be sent home--but I really doubt we will hear that :-) !

That article is above my pay grade. You have to be a scientist to understand it so Chris Mcvoy qualifies. Really impressive though.

I did read the info. Found it very informative. Bottom line, McVoy understands the real dangers to the Everglades eco system better than anyone. He is raising concerns about "Aligator Alcatraz" for purely political reasons. It's like screaming about a mosquito bite as your arm is being bitten off by a crocodile. Grand standing by Mcvoy and other environmentalists takes away from what should be concerns for the real threats to the Everglades. Christopher should know better.

Far right QAnon loon posts a highly partisan analysis that is worth nothing. Dude actually considers anyone who is concerned about the Everglades to be a Socialist and an enemy of America.

Take that extremist trash and take a long walk off a short cliff, Dan.

I have told you before that Chris is a socialist so no surprise here. You just delete my comments.

To Anonymous leftist @ 5:39p. Each of your assertions is wrong. I am not far-right, I am centrist conservative, and of course this puts you as far left, which is to say a Fascist, with the mindset of Nazi Germany in the late 1930’s—a period you know painfully nothing about and have no understanding of.
As to the partisan analysis, if you had any kind of science background, which you clearly do not, you would know that my analysis is not partisan at all, and that Chris will have a hard time disagreeing with 99% of it.

As to the concern about the Everglades, this is likely a much bigger concern for me than it could ever be for you, because as a non-person anonymous commenter, you have done exactly ZERO to help the Everglades, whereas I have been involved in helping with Environmental issues since the early 1990’s, and even in the case of Alligator Alcatraz, I offered Chris a very powerful solution that could have dramatically improved the environmental health of the Everglades – but instead he chose to use the Everglades as cover for protecting criminals. Instead of "fighting" crime, he chose to "protect" crime, and apparently this is your mission as well.
All of us should try to help protect the Everglades, and this means putting the biggest threat out there to be known by the public, and driven to be fixed first.. We should not be keeping the biggest threats buried and festering by pushing national publicity for a tiny environmental issue (with almost zero actual harm potential in relation to the top ten –most of which the public may never know about, thanks in part to the attention Chris helped detract from the important issues) — these issues are well described in my article --the one that you failed to process.

I've lived in Florida for 20 years. Long before I moved here, I remember preserving the Everglades to be a key issue from as far away as Philadelphia. Why does everything have to be a fight. If you don't want the Everglades preserved, there is something radically wrong with you. Think about that for a while, before you say stupid stuff!

Here is a program Chris could have used if he HONESYLY put the Everglades health above criminals stealing from legal Americans.... ...............................................................................................................Restorative Infrastructure: A Closed-Loop Wastewater Solution for the Everglades Migrant Facility
Executive Summary
While the proposed 6,000-person detention facility at the Dade-Collier site may be politically inevitable, it need not be environmentally irresponsible. In fact, it represents a once-in-a-century opportunity to correct a profound ecological wrong—the 1948 diversion of the Everglades’ natural flow by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
This white paper proposes a closed-loop, zero-discharge wastewater system that not only neutralizes environmental impact, but actively contributes to restoring lost flow and ecological balance to the Everglades basin. It positions Florida and the federal government as partners in a bold engineering redemption arc—an investment in infrastructure that repairs rather than exploits.
Closed-Loop Treatment Stack (Technical Overview)
Stage Technology Benefit
Primary Screening Bar screens, grit chambers Removes large solids and grit
Biological Processing MBRs or SBRs Aerobic digestion of organic waste
Tertiary Filtration UV light, activated carbon, nutrient traps Neutralizes pathogens, N, and P
Quaternary Polishing Reverse Osmosis or Nanofiltration Produces ultra-pure water
Thermal Sludge Drying Anaerobic digesters + solar drying Converts waste to sterile biosolid bricks
Water Reuse Loop Toilets, cleaning, green infrastructure No discharge to wetland or aquifer
Emergency Resilience Elevated tanks, surge buffers Climate-resilient and hurricane-proof design

Ecological Reparation: A Chance to Restore Historic Flow
In 1948, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers—through the Central and South Florida Project—diverted the natural sheet flow of the Everglades, fragmenting habitats and dehydrating millions of acres of wetland. This facility could fund a partial reparation of that legacy.
Proposal:
A significant percentage of treated water from the detention site—after full polishing and ecological vetting—could be used to rehydrate selected downstream marshes, mimicking pre-1948 flow patterns in coordination with the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP).
Benefits to All Stakeholders
Group Benefit
Environmental Scientists Oversight role, ecological restoration, zero-discharge system pilot
Florida Residents Groundbreaking water ethics project, no harm to Everglades tourism
Federal Agencies Compliance model, public-private innovation showcase
Engineering Industry Opportunity to pioneer adaptive infrastructure in fragile ecosystems
Migrants & Staff Sanitary, sustainable, climate-resilient living standards

Policy Recommendations
1. Joint Cost-Sharing Agreement
Florida DEP + U.S. DOJ + Army Corps share costs for system deployment and flow restoration studies.
2. Stakeholder Science Panel
Environmental experts and academics (e.g., UF, UM, FIU) empowered to audit and refine system in real time.
3. Public Dashboard for Transparency
Nutrient discharge, pathogen neutralization, and energy use stats made public—engineering with nothing to hide.

4. Offset Credit Mechanism
System could generate stormwater mitigation or wetland restoration credits under the Clean Water Act.

@2:40...exactly who is saying "stupid stuff?" Who doesn't want to preserve the Everglades? Post under your own name so we know who is stupid.

He like many liberals left lunatics support illegals and lawlessness, he should be removed from office!

DeSantis should kick his ass out!

If you read my posts you know I am an Environmental activist, more so than 99.9% of people in Lake Worth. And you should see the white paper I sent to Chris, to actually help the Everglades dramatically ( there was also a much longer paper I created for him that broke down all the steps, and how we could move this to get DeSantis to accept this). I want the Everglades to he healthier, and Chris pushing a pretense cause like Alligator Alcatraz will do 2 horrible things....First, it will use up the mental bandwidth of the national and state wide general public for how many environmental issues they can get emotionally invested in--most people can only care about a few....By Chris pushing this pretense so that he can protect criminal migrants, he is ensuring that many people will not think about the bigger issues--they will have already had their quote of environmental issues to get active with, and so the big ones like the rock mine will never reach top of mind awareness..this is just how media works on the public. The 2nd big mistake for Chris here, is that he and the Environmentalists of Florida just pissed all over DeSantis and Trump --and so NEXT time WE want to protect Florida by getting Trump or DeSantis to help protect Floridians from the Rock Mine, from Big Sugar, or any one of the big threats--they will be thinking---those damned Environmentalists want to get help from me after they tried to destroy my plan to make America Safer.... Sure, I'll help them right into the circular file. How Chris could not consider both of these is beyond me, at least if he is honest about wanting to protect the Everglades.

Any person such as Mr. McVoy who shield and protect illegals and non-citizens over American citizens should lose their positions in government! They are violating their oath to obey the Constitution!

Anonymous said...

I agree he should be pulled from office! It's just like that judge up north who was protecting some illegal immigrants and allowed them to escape and she's a judge? They should all be held accountable they should lose their law license and they should not be allowed to serve in public office ever again they should remove this guy from Lake Worth for what he's doing then!

Anonymous said...

What bothers me further is that all these elected they care more about illegal immigrants and killing babies than they do about Americans and putting Americans first does it make any sense to you at all? Pretty disgusting I think!

A well thought out article - It lays out the point / counterpoint and give a ton of backup. I would agree with the conclusion that the opposition to Alligator Alcatraz is primarily a politically motivated movement using the veil of protecting the environment as their rally cry.

It is interesting the Com. McVoy NEVER used his position as Lake Worth Beach City Commissioner to fight some of the major causes of environmental harm. Never heard of him asking for a proclamation or commission action about the rock mine or Lake O run off and water dumps...

McVoy thinks of himself as the great white savior of the illegals... He has no problem issuing fines and foreclosing on legal residents home owners and business owners... but ask him to vote to halt illegal street vending by illegal immigrants... and that is too far.

I hope the court ruling is overturned. The environmental impact was minimal.
