Mamdani's Campaign and Soros' Funding

Socialist Zohran Mamdani under fire for association with George Soros

New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, known for his socialist views, is under scrutiny following revelations of financial backing indirectly linked to billionaire George Soros.

Breitbart reported that Soros' monetary influence on left-wing groups has reached Mamdani’s campaign indirectly, evoking criticism and concerns over political integrity. Mamdani, who has been vocal about his opposition to capitalism's creation of billionaires, found his campaign indirectly benefiting from Soros' financial support.

These events came to light as Mamdani, a prominent figure in New York's political landscape, continues his mayoral campaign. The New York Post reported that Soros' Open Society Foundation contributed approximately $37 million over almost a decade to multiple left-wing organizations.

Among these groups were the Working Families Party, Community Voices Heard, Move On, and Jewish Voice for Peace Action. All these organizations extended their support to Mamdani, aiding in his primary victory over former Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Mamdani's campaign, highlighting his socialist convictions, preaches against the financial concentration among billionaires. In a recent appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press," Mamdani remarked, "I don’t think we should have billionaires," further advocating for higher property taxes in affluent neighborhoods.
