Defense Department imposing Sex-Neutral physical standards

Hegseth: Men and Women in Combat Must Meet ‘Same, High Standard’

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the changes to its physical fitness requirements in an effort to “fix” the standards that he said were “lowered” under President Barack Obama’s administration.

We need these standards for police and firefighters also! Sorry but a 120 lb female is not going to be able to drag my ass out of a fire or down a ladder. I'm not fat, either ,so don't go there.

I know it's not popular to say but the woman's place is in the home. They are way too emotional and don't have the strength to do the same jobs that men do. We should go back to the days when the little lady took care of the house and cooked dinner for her man. There was no need for DEI back then because the women knew their place.

Well, this is 2025...not 1950 or the lst century. It is a fact that men are stronger and faster than women and therefore any combat role by women would have to ensure that women can perform the same functions as well as men and adhere to the same standards of rediness.

to 7:28 Am Where did anyone imply that instead of being fire fighters or cops women have to be June Cleaver? If women want to do those jobs, they need to be held to THE SAME (you know ,Equality ) standards as MALE firefighters and cops. You can't meet the standards? Then you aren't fit for the job. It really is a matter of life and death.

If you're fighting for your life, I don't care if you are male or female, but if you are fighting for my life, or the life of my family or my Country, then it is imperative that you are male.
When the shooting starts, you won't get much of an argument about this.
