Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe are denying that the Signal group chat exposed by Jeffrey Goldberg contained classified information. Some Democrats called for their resignation.
Sen. Mark Warner, D-Virginia, demanded the pair turn over the messages in Tuesday’s Senate Intelligence Committee hearing despite Gabbard saying she was “not going to get into” the issue and assuring the senator that the matter was “under review.”
“Senator, I’ll reiterate that there was no classified material that was shared,” Gabbard said.
Someone made a big mistake not checking who was on the chat and it will soon come to light as to whom is responsible for this oversight.
It’s equipment and technology that’s not perfect and probably he won’t be using it again,” Trump said, and Waltz responded, “yes, sir.”
