County Commission wrong on Ag Reserve
I am beginning to wonder if there is any reason to continue with the present Palm Beach County Commission. They appear to be uninformed or misinformed, and have no interest in following advice or heed comments from knowledgeable citizens.
Allowing an incinerator, the most toxic form of air pollution, to be built in close proximity to residential housing is inexcusable. Permitting the Briger tract to be developed shows a total lack of comprehension of how nature works. The old trees provide the oxygen we need to breathe. Their presence gives us the absorption necessary for excess water.
And now, permitting the Agricultural Reserve land, necessary for, amongst other things, food, to be used commercially is the last straw.
One of the commissioners in response to a comment from the public about the misuse of the Ag Reserve remarked that we couldn’t stop “progress.”
Dear misinformed commissioner: misusing land set aside for agriculture is a “regression,” unless you’re no longer interested in eating.
Recall the county commissioners and replace them with responsible, knowledgeable and concerned citizens.

I agree, Suzanne is a turn coat, she did a 180 degree on the Ag Reserve. How much money is she making of the deal making?
Wonder what her old crunchy granola types think of her now. She sold them out!
Love your description of her "senior" friends...
If she sold out anything it was the environment and perhaps her own land making it more valuable for any future development. The people lost another one to developer and land owner interests. Look, our commission does it all the time for investor/developer interests even going so far as to not honoring the vote of the people on heights. So all of us crunchy granola types aren't too happy with that.
Unfortunately, your tired complaint of the vote being deemed null and void by the State of Florida is your constant fall back position. Oh Boo hoo.
The current Gulfstream Hotel lawsuit is evident of a certain diminishing element of narrowly focused crunchy granola types and trust fund babies, and serves as proof of their unhappiness. It's also proof that these select minor opinions are choosing to hold hostage the redevelopment of our city. It's the same select minor opinions who wish to cause increased expense to the city on a position that thy will lose - again - in a court of law.
Funny thing is, Suzanne Mulvahill was bosum buddies with the very same, now diminishing opinion of trust fund, anarchist, granola types. How very disappointed they must be with their traitor on the Ag Reserve.
Guess she really wasn't a great commissioner in the long run, huh?
