Shanon Materio, who was appointed to a 11-month commission term
following the death of Bill Moss, will announce today that she is
running in the March election to fill the remaining year of the term.
Materio, 56, will make her announcement at Palm Sugar on Clematis Street at 4:30 p.m.

Yes, Shanon is her father's daughter, probably her mother's daughter also. She is an asset to both West Palm Beach and Lake Worth. She is a power and gets things done. I wish her lots of success just like she has done her whole life. Good Luck, Shanon !!! I'm in your corner !!
I tend to agree with the 9pm poster. Shannon and Phil have done alot for our City and I happen to think she would be an asset to WPB. This family has devoted countless hours , dollars and energy helping clean up this City. Good luck Shannon!

Just how has Materio managed to stay in business? It's not like people have money to spend on something like stained glass. Does anyone ever see ANYONE in her business?Materio has absolutely no shame. She is a power junkie just like Lois Frankel and her friends on the council that lied to get her appointed.

Have you EVER been in their shop ? Ever ? They have been in business for 35 years. There is something there for anyone. They supply churches and synagogues with windows, homes, offer classes to hobbyists. It's usually always been a 6 day / week business for as long as I can remember. They employ 10 - 15 full time employees, 3 or 4 of which own property and pay taxes in Lake Worth. You might be surprised if you ever went in there and saw what they do. Phil and Shanon have worked long and hard to build their company to where it is. They've raised 3 kids, been active in both West Palm and Lake Worth communities. They're very nice people and if you ever took the time to talk to them, I think you'd agree.
Will somebody, or at least all the posters that say they or someone should, please call the FBI! It just seems so silly, cowardly and dare I say laughable to post what needs to be done in their cowardly desperation, yet no one ever makes the call. Why?????
