Pebble Beach of South Florida

Comment Up

Speaking about our Lake Worth Golf Course that just got new greens, “This course is a treasure,” said Capt. Rolando Silva, an avid golfer and commander of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s District 14 office in Lake Worth. “It’s like a Pebble Beach of South Florida.”

This is great news for our city! Our golf course has always been under appreciated. Another lake Worth diamond in the rough that is starting to shine!

O.K. Now let's get some signs out there that tell people where the darn thing is. And not just the 8x10 ones with the image of a golfer taking a swing.I would like to see some real signs on I-95 and on Dixie.

Sorry, golfers and the people in this article live in another world, they are the ones who are the elitist who think they are better and deserve more and can live this way, they love to appease us all as if they really care about the crime, blight, and real problems facing our city state, and or country, they could care less, they are all just waiting for their next golf match and hobnobbing.

You should not throw people into lumps. golg is an expensive sport, granted, but if people want to play the game, they should not be called elitist. My husband learned the game in his early 20's and became a no handicap golfer. We had little money back then. He still plays golf to this day. Croquet is played by wealthy people and poor people. So is golf.

I've always called the Palm Beach Par 3 our Pebble Beach, not many places you can play next to Atlantic Ocean. I like Lake Worth's course also.

Golf green fees are as low as $15 during summer, Okeeheelee Park, West Palm CC on Forest Hill, PB par 3, Lake Worth can all be played for under $30, not that pricy or elitist.
