Verification is the only way - Illegals and Healthcare

"There are 11 million-plus (no one knows how many; it could be double that or more) illegal aliens in the nation," Rep. Nathan Deal (Ga) said during his introduction of the amendment. "We want to make sure that this bill does not extend benefits to those not in the country illegally."

So what happened? A healthcare plan that is estimated to cost the taxpayers $1.6 trillion dollars over the next decade has been hijacked. It was defeated by one vote in the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Essentially the Bill excludes illegal aliens from coverage but there are no provisions within the bill requiring beneficiaries to show their citizenship status and
that is the problem.

A person making over $280,000 a year or a couple making over $350,000 a year will be taxed to death to pay for this. This is taxing the rich to give to the poor. In this case it is taxing those who have worked hard to be where they are in order to give to someone who is a criminal. This goes beyond Socialism to just plain stupid and our government will be rewarding the criminal at the expense of the legal citizen here if this Bill passes in its present form.

In this Bill, States would automatically be required to enroll non-traditional Medicaid individuals to the Plan but it does not require the states to verify citizenship!

Nice pic; bad vote!
The only Congressman from Florida was Kathy Castor from the Tampa area and she voted to allow illegals to have healthcare. People in Tampa--remember this!

This will be coming up again after the August recess for a full debate

Call or e-mail Robert Wexler and tell him to pay attention to what's going on in Florida even if he does NOT live here--

Call or e-mail Ron Klein and let him know that he is not doing the right thing with your tax dollars if he does not ensure that States verify whether someone is a U.S. citizen before they get healthcare--

If there is no verification of ones' legal status in this country regarding healthcare benefits, we will be invaded by the hundreds of thousands. No wall will keep them from coming here. You won't be hearing anyone saying "Tear down that wall." They will be saying make a law that makes sense. You think we have problems now. Just wait.
