Schlesinger Surprise - well he is a businessman

It could be just a coincidence that their project across the bridge is now finished and Schlesinger doesn't need to store containers on the Gulfstream property any longer-- but today is D-Day and the containers are all gone!

These huge storage containers were there for four months --all 9 of them--and a complete eye-sore on our downtown. Instead of being slapped with a $250 a day per container fine, all he has to pay are the administrative costs.

He was heard to say as the last container was being hauled out, "Screw you Lake Worth, I'll be back!"

We live right by there and we never even noticed the containers.
They were no problem at all.

Whether you noticed them or not is NOT the issue. What is the issue--it is against our City Code...our laws. The violated our Code and blighted the downtown. The objective is to clean up blight and code the offenders. Our code enforcement did that but because of the system, this owner was allowed to take advantage of our laws for 4 months. THAT is the issue, not whether it was objectionable to you.

To the uninformed poster who just tried to comment here saying that the poetic license I took in the last line of my article is "slander," well "friend," you have much to learn. Go get a job. Better yet, stick to your slander Forum Board where you are used to being a bully ranter. Better yet, go back to the sandbox.
