Democrats and their afordability buzz word
"Plenty of politicians talk a big talk on making life more affordable. Democrats particularly use the word a lot, but, charitably speaking, they don’t seem to know what it means. All Democrat policies make life more expensive.But Florida Republicans are laser-focused on making Florida more affordable for families with very real solutions, not just talk. While inflation is down, living costs remain high across the country from Joe Biden’s crushing inflation rates.
So Florida Republicans have put on the ballot in November a Constitutional amendment that would dramatically cut property taxes for homeowners. If 60 percent of voters approve it, this will be money that stays in the pockets of millions of Floridians. This is not just a slowed increase in costs, but actual, tangible cuts.
This is what conservative leadership looks like — lowering the tax burden on homeowners, and limiting the growth of government and all of its intrusive costs.
We will now be fighting to get it passed in November against some very entrenched interests that are vested in endless gobs of taxpayer money."

The Dems and most elected are greedy and corrupt anyway so they won't want this but just vote Yes get a tax break we deserve it they are so corrupt with our money we deserve our money back stop all the corruption and greed and self serving elected officials!
I like my library and police department and fire services...schools don't matter much to me...but the other things do! Vote no if you don't want to defund them!
@6:06...Democrats are the ONLY people who defund safety services where our citizens come last. Our school tax is a county tax so you needn't worry about that anyway. We are under a contract with PBSO and the Unions.
60% is big threshhold so you might be worrying for nothing. The City needs to cut budgets in all departments right now.
Lynn at @606...fire and police departments WILL be impacted and services will be cut. it's not technically a total defund but money will be taken aways if this passes. I'm not a fearmonger but if floridians vote yes they will see big changes in their services including their parks. that's just a fact.
@8:11...Under the plan, the restricted property tax revenues that cities and counties DO collect must be dedicated solely to "core" public needs like law enforcement, public schools, and infrastructure. Because local governments are legally forced to fund these core functions first, funds will be tight for other community resources. TRIM THE FAT!!
