Democrat Socialists endorsed by Mamdani

Mamdani rallies with socialist slate and Sanders, declares open challenge to Democratic Party leadership

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani stood on stage at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn's Flatbush neighborhood Thursday night and told a crowd of progressives that the Democratic Party as currently constructed cannot win a presidential election.

Six months into his tenure as the nation's most prominent democratic socialist mayor, the 34-year-old wasn't hedging. He was picking a fight, with his own party's leadership, with its donor class, and with the incumbents House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wants to protect.

The rally doubled as a campaign event for three progressive congressional candidates Mamdani has endorsed ahead of Tuesday's New York Democratic primaries.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders headlined alongside Mamdani, and the message from both was blunt: the Democratic establishment has failed working people and needs to be replaced from within.

What makes the event more than a standard progressive pep rally is the direct collision course it sets between Mamdani and Hakeem Jeffries, the Brooklyn-based House leader who has endorsed the incumbents Mamdani's candidates are trying to unseat.

This is an intra-party proxy war playing out in New York's congressional districts, and it tells you everything about where the Democratic Party's internal fault lines run in 2026.

I thought this is a conservative blog? All I keep seeing is news about the Democratic Socialist Mayor of New York. What is DeSantis doing? What is Greg Abbott doing out in Texas? What kind of things is Trump doing in Washington?

Are you one of those anarchists Peter or Cara or one of them that used to block US1 in front of City Hall in lake Worth causing so many problems at meetings or mocking Mayors and doing all these crazy things do you just love to drive people crazy because you're an anarchist against any law and order or progress? Are you the same type of people that push all this anti gentrification? Are you an anarchist?
