The relentless push by MAGA Republicans for full transparency on the Jeffrey Epstein files isn’t about conspiracy theories—it’s about holding the powerful accountable.

As CNN’s David Urban rightly noted, this issue resonates with the base because it exposes the glaring double standard in America’s justice system. “It’s really not about Jeffrey Epstein, it’s about accountability,” Urban said, echoing Steve Bannon’s argument. “There’s a two-tier system of justice in America, and the elites get protected, and the FBI protects them, and the deep state protects them.”

For years, the liberal media and the Washington establishment have shielded high-profile figures linked to Epstein’s crimes while weaponizing the DOJ against conservatives. Attorney General Pam Bondi’s efforts to release the Epstein documents have been met with obstruction and excuses, further fueling suspicions of a cover-up.

Despite Bondi’s February promise that the public would see “a lot of flight logs, a lot of names [and] a lot, a lot of information,” the DOJ’s recent memo claimed no “client list” existed—a claim many find laughable.

The inconsistencies surrounding Epstein’s death only deepen the skepticism. While officials ruled it a suicide, forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden, hired by Epstein’s brother, argued the autopsy suggested “homicidal strangulation.”

The DOJ’s release of footage from Epstein’s cell—reportedly edited, according to Wired—has done little to quell doubts, especially with Bondi admitting a “missing minute” due to cameras “resetting.”
