A Minnesota lawmaker thought she was making a compelling case for illegal immigrants.

But her shocking admission backfired in spectacular fashion.

State Representative Kaohly Her, a fourth-term Democrat representing St. Paul, Minnesota, stunned her colleagues during a heated debate on the Minnesota House floor Monday.

While arguing against a Republican proposal to stop taxpayers from having to foot the bill for adult illegal aliens’ healthcare, she made a jaw-dropping revelation about her own past.

"I am illegal in this country. My parents are illegal here in this country," She declared to the assembled lawmakers.

The Democrat representative was trying to guilt trip her Republican colleagues into supporting more taxpayer-funded handouts for illegal immigrants.
