Jack Smith just walked into Donald Trump’s Supreme Court trap

Joe Biden prosecutor Jack Smith is hell-bent on jailing Donald Trump before Election Day.

But Smith’s zeal to assist Joe Biden’s re-election came at a cost. And Jack Smith just walked into Donald Trump’s Supreme Court trap.

Former President Donald Trump successfully put the 2020 Election case that Special Counsel Jack Smith brought on hold. His legal team appealed Obama-appointed Judge Tanya Chutkan’s ruling rejecting Trump’s motion to dismiss the charges Smith filed against him for contesting the 2020 Election on the grounds of Presidential immunity.

Normally, an appeal would work its way through the appellate court and finally the Supreme Court.

But the normal process would take months, even years, which would jeopardize the March 4 trial date Chutkan set and thus destroy Smith’s ability to convict and jail Trump before the election. Trump has wanted the case to get in front of the Supreme Court.

Smith then filed a motion he even called “extraordinary” asking the Supreme Court to immediately take up the case.
