White House accused of US Flag Code violation over Pride Month display

President Biden spoke in front of Pride Month display Saturday.

President Joe Biden's administration is receiving backlash online over its Pride Month display at the White House on Sunday as many Twitter users are saying it violates the U.S. Flag Code.

Biden celebrated the LGBT community in a post Saturday, revealing a set of flags hanging from the White House that faced the South Lawn. The display includes a rainbow-colored Pride flag flanked by two American flags.

Twitter users argue the display violates a section of the U.S. Flag Code that mandates the American flag be in the center of any display featuring multiple national flags or pennants.

By now, we know Biden has little understanding as to correct protocol.

Twitter Community Notes placed a notice on the original tweet making those claims that the photos were cropped, like yours, in order not to show the flag flying on the White House directly above the 3-flag display. As such the display of the flags as is was in conformance with standards.

The community notes are still incorrect. The flag not seen in picture is in a different location than the 3 that are visible. If you actually read the code "US Flag should be at the center and highest point of the GROUP when a number of flags are GROUPED...

This should never have been allowed to get started. The country is full of misfits, and instead of discouraging it, we celebrate it.
