Best States for Minimizing Taxes in Retirement
If shrinking your tax liability is high on your list of priorities, a few states stand out. The winners on our list below either have no state income tax, no tax on retirement income, or a substantial discount on the taxes levied on retirement income. But that’s just the start. While several additional states have no state income tax, the states that made our list also have favorable sales, property, inheritance, and estate taxes.
Alaska
Florida
Georgia
Mississippi
Nevada
South Dakota
Wyoming
All the states other than Georgia and Nevada are RED states.Of course, I would think Florida would be tops for the weather alone! But, we have the best governor in the United States, Ron DeSantis.

But let's talk about auto and home insurance costs.
We are talking about taxes.
I agree, auto & home insurance are disgusting. We have New York drivers down here and we are paying for natural disasters all over the country that affect our rates.
That's the nature of Insurance. Shared loss, and a big commission for the Insurance Salesman.
