Message from a Lake Worth Resident

The following is an e-mail I received from someone who had attended the commission meeting last night.:

"Thank you to everyone who wrote letters to our Commissioners and attended the City Commission meeting tonight.

The City to CRA transfer was eventually moved off the Consent Agenda & moved to New Business.  Commissioners weighed in with their opinions, Christopher McVoy, Tom Conboy & I spoke out against the transfer in public comment; a few like Wes Blackman & his new sidekick Cammie Anderson.  Omari Hardy read two great letters into the record by Betty Resch and Anne Fairfax.  We lost all four mainstream commissioners, only Omari Hardy voted with us.

Not sure when this will go in front of Historic Resources Preservation Board.  My guess is that all the historic structures and properties will be wrapped into one CRA demolition application.  We need further guidance from a historic preservationist proficient in Historic Preservation law...

Omari Hardy continued to show his intellect and understanding on the issues last night. Resident Tammy Pansa was spot on in her comments.
