Has she had any paying jobs? Anybody can have a nice picture and brochure created. Volunteer work is important, but it doesn't add up to the same thing as a working at or owning a business.
I've got news for you: If I put my picture and brochure in the paper, you'd elect me to the Governors Office. Don't be so gullible. Do you want Obama running the city?
@1:43...you think it's a "valid" question? Did Obama have a business before he was elected to public office? He was a community organizer paid for his services by God knows whom. Just because someone might have been or is a business owner does not mean that they have had any success.
Maryann is in her 50's. I am rather sure that she has held jobs. I believe that she did have her own business at one time. She has entrenched herself in the community and has given back.
I know Maryann, not that well, but to know this. I was at the meeting , she stated that she is Semi-retired and private consultant on non-profit fundraising. My kids benefited from one of the fundraisers that she did.
She also is an actress, which I know is very hard work. It's not glamorous.
She previously was Vice President of Operations at Surgical Health Care, Inc. Which she stated.
She also worked with me at JFK Hospital
I know for a fact she had a modeling school in Lake Worth, Fl back in the late 80's until the 90's under Maryann Williams School of Modeling, my friends daughter went there.
She has worked her entire life and continues to do so. Whoever said that comment about volunteering, might want to get facts straight.
An acting career comes in handy when you're running for political office. Look what it did for "Arnold". At any rate, she could hardly be worse than what's in there now.
And, you may want to educate yourself fully before deleving into the Public Records and running your mouth. Those records should be opened and read before you throw stones about topics about which you have no knowledge.

Maryann was a wife and mother recently widowed. She has been giving back to her community in many, many way and will be doing the same once elected.
