The latest FDOT Advisory dated January 2, 2015:
The eastbound portion of the Lake Worth Road Bridge is closed completely for approximately three (3) months for bridge rehabilitation. Eastbound traffic will be placed onto the existing westbound bridge, reducing traffic to one lane in each direction. This closure is anticipated to last through January 2015, weather permitting, and is necessary to facilitate the removal of existing paint, perform concrete repairs, and apply anti-corrosion protection and paint upgrades.
This 0.297-mile project began construction on October 2, 2014 and is expected to be completed in spring 2015, weather permitting. Work is being performed by Coastal Gunite Construction Company, Inc., with Stantec overseeing the project for the Florida Department of Transportation.
Maintenance of Traffic--
The eastbound portion of Lake Worth Road Bridge will be closed, around-the-clock, beginning Wednesday, Nov. 5, through January 2015. Eastbound traffic will be placed onto the westbound bridge, reducing traffic to one lane in each direction.
