Make The Call Y'all

Comment Up

Well, if it's not bolted down, thieves in Lake Worth will steal it. This was an attempted theft of a small Gumbo Limbo tree and the thief had to give up because of the roots. Branches were torn off and some roots were broken. The attempted vandalism and theft occurred in ROLOH. Years ago, some low-life came to my yard and tried to steal and uproot a small Foxtail about 7-8 feet high. All they managed to do was snap the tree in two.

The president of ROLOH, Robert Waples, said, "I mean honestly, you have to start stealing trees???  Of course our neighbor is making a report to PBSO but what this does mean is that we all need to be aware, alert and willing to "Make The Call Y'all!

Gumbo Limbo full grown

If you see anyone suspicious please call 688-3400 which is dispatch for PBSO and make a report.  You do not have to give your name or location but before it gets "crazy" again, lets put a stop to an increase in crime before it starts."

Also watch out for your outdoor pottery and statues.  Thieves are going after them, big time!  Following is a list of Items most often stolen or vandalized:
  • Outdoor furniture
  • Showy plants; rare and exotic plants
  • Large, expensive containers
  • Garden art and statuary
  • Lawnmowers and power tools
  • BBQ grills
