Regardless, Trayvon might have been innocently walking home that night but he was not an innocent teenager. Read his background. He was a punk.
What this story depicts is that black gangs are terrorizing people of different races. This too, was a man with his family driving down the street...innocent...and he got beaten to a pulp.

Lynn, Does this reader of yours honestly not know that Hispanic is not a race?? You can be Hispanic and black or Hispanic and white, or Hispanic and half-black, half-white, which describes hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers. Blacks and Hispanics ripping an Asian man out of his car and beating him on the street in front of his wife and child is despicable, should be investigated as a hate crime, and the beaters should be jailed. We have to stand up to black-on-white (and black-on-Asian) violence, which is happening every single day in almost every city in this country. And we have to call it what it is: Hate. Not talking about it, or refusing to acknowledge it because we've been told by our teachers that everyone who's black is an innocent victim of institutional racism is not the answer. We have to stand up and say: STOP THIS SH*T NOW.

Sometimes I wonder if they are getting even for all the sins of our fathers from 150 years ago. There is definitely a loss of morals and it's damn scary out here.
