She is such a smoozer when it is for her convenience. She is so informal in the meeting sometimes even letting others in the audience speak out, and then other times so formal. I do not like how she is or how she treats McVoy in public. All four of them do not support him or work with him at all, they are to the point of being rude really. Just so unacceptable. Does she not realize that how she behaves on the dais sends a message to all of us of her rudeness and unprofessionalism.
She does not seem to understand that it is government By the People, Of the People and FOR the People. She seems to think she is their ruler. The people DO NOT WANT the sweet small-town developed Madame Mayor. They don't. And they've told you that again and again and again. So why do you keep trying to push development? Oh, I know. To bring in tax money. Why don't you ask the sheriff to start enforcing the law and return the illegal immigrants to their own countries? The middle-class Americans might start coming back to Lake Worth. You know, the tax-paying ones.
I think you have to be a schmoozer to be a good mayor. But she definitely does not run a great meeting. It takes a lot of political courage to thumb your nose at a majority of voters who will be coming out in March. That can happen when you surround yourself with sycophants. It will be interesting to see what voters think about being told that their votes don't count much with this commission.
9:19--you really do take the cake! There were only 2 people from the PAC there that night and neither one, that I know of, ate ANY cake. However, the cake, bought with taxpayer money, was offered to ALL people there. I noticed the Friends of the Gulfstream in the room to eat it. Don't know why you are still so bitter--it was you that got an elections commission fine--it was you who lied--it was you who are falling back on a "bought" legal opinion from the city attorney. You might not have the last laugh. Time will tell.
I think I will be having the last laugh, I am so sorry you feel it is bought legal advice.. I am sure you will next be saying that the Mayor, and Commission ran right up to the Capital, and BOUGHT off the Governor also. Call The Florida Legal Hotline, and ask them what their opinion is ( it is free, and will not cost you a dime.) I think you will get the same answer.
You have an uncanny way of twisting the facts of the matter. The truth here is that the YES people won this election. The truth here is that this commission did not honor the vote. The truth here is that this commission delayed the process BIG TIME and now are falling back on HB357 as an excuse to get their way and in the opinion of others, does not have anything to do with this referendum that was a change of the charter, not a development order or Comp Plan referendum. You can give credit to Rick Scott for why you did not move the results forward and you can tell it to the people at election time. No one will buy that argument as you had every authority to make changes on your own. Time will tell. You are no longer representing the people here.
My only wish is that the people will stop your act and your subterfuge and over-turn your decision in this matter. this is not a dictatorship as much as you want it to be.

Even they know the truth when they see it from an adversary. This is politics. Get out of the kitchen. Scott understands that better than all of the rest and certainly better than you.
Lynn, his real name is Greg Rice, he loves us all to bow to him, yet thinks it is his right to keep his properties on Lucerne so dumpy, blighted, with a huge hole in the roof. He is only holding out on that boarded up dump to make millions and wants to be able to build big, that is why he is like he is and hated that the vote didn't go his way. He is a slum owner and irresponsible person who uses his fame and power to manipulate the city to do what he wants without spending a dime, making our city tax dollars and Joel Morgenstern to have to clean up his dumps on Lucerne. He is a disgrace to our city little does he know.

anony above i think you should explain yourself. this blog writes what's going on. Lynn can have a different opinion but that is not slander. Slander is when you write untruths and defame someone. most of these elected people defame themselves. What they pulled on the heights downtown is a disgrace.

I am sure that everyone from the Respectful Planning PAC got their free piece of Cake, and most likely another one to take Home with them.
