Lake Worth Library Updates

Vickie Joslyn, Library Services Supervisor

Note and reminder from June Evans: Official Spring Book Sale takes place on Saturday, April 20.

Enjoy a free live music festival on the stage starting at 2 pm with Blue Grass, Country and Gospel Music, sponsored by the Rotary Club. Listen to good music while you browse among the books.

People are confused by the notice in the newsletter that came with their utility bills that says, "Friends of the Library Book sale in the Cultural Plaza on Saturday, April 13". I hope MY volunteers remember that they said they would work on the 20th. My wonderful volunteers are: Sam, Dari, Joanne, me and Scott to set up from 9 - 10 am; Martha, cashier from 9-11; Susanne and Delle, cashiers from 11-1; Jay, 1-3 pm; Adela, cashier from 2- closing. Sam and me all day; Clear up: Phill Skipp, Joanne, Scott at 4:15. Sorting books on Friday afternoon 1-3: Sam and me. We need more help sorting books.

"Mini Book Sale" is in the Plaza on Saturday, April 13, during the Earth Day Peace Jam. Two book sales with music two weeks in a row! Vickie Joslyn is organizing the Mini Book Sale. Proceeds from both go to the Friends of the Library to pay for our library's programs, projects and special activities.

Our Annual Meeting took place Tuesday, April 9 at Mother Earth's Coffee (2nd Ave North between M Street and Federal Highway). with an election of officer.

Thank you to our generous members who will give up a little time to volunteer at our book sale.

June
Friends of the Lake Worth Library
