Florida Atlantic University professor Jeffrey Huber will speak about his 2024 book Salty Urbanism. Professor Huber provides ways South Florida coastal cities with short and long term infrastructure challenges can respond and adapt to “sunny day flooding, storm surge and sea level rise.”
Huber demonstrates how to address vulnerabilities through resilient infrastructure, adaptive South Florida native landscapes and “Design with Nature” ecosystem services; providing opportunities “not just to survive, but thrive”
