AAST Best Looking Cruiser contest

My critique: Photo too dark, background does not depict Florida--should have had a sunshine photo at the beach and an alligator sitting in front of cruiser. Who designed this?

The Florida Highway Patrol

has officially entered the 2025 American Association of State Troopers “Best Looking Cruiser” competition, seeking a third consecutive title.

This year’s entry prominently features an FHP black-and-tan Corvette, a vehicle seized from a convicted drug trafficker.

FHP is asking Floridians to cast their votes for the cruiser. The public voting period runs from 10 a.m. June 30 to noon July 11. The cruiser that garners the most votes will be featured on the cover of the American Association of State Troopers, or AAST, 2026 calendar.

The Corvette featured in the competition was acquired through a joint criminal investigation with the Drug Enforcement Administration targeting a nationwide drug trafficking organization. FHP is currently utilizing the seized vehicle at various outreach events to promote traffic safety campaigns aimed at reducing crashes on Florida’s roadways.

“FHP is proud to once again take part in the AAST Best Looking Cruiser contest.

#VoteFHP webpage. The Florida Highway Patrol needs your vote to win the American Association of State Troopers Best-Looking Cruiser Contest for the third year in a row! Voting ends Friday, July 11, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. EST.
