The Trump administration has just received formal words of praise from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for its decision to enact a "long overdue" ban on Navy-funded experiments on dogs and cats while also pursuing a far-reaching ban on such testing in all branches of the U.S. military.
As Breitbart notes, Secretary of the Navy John Phelan announced the termination of all dog and cat testing within the Department of the Navy, declaring the move “long overdue.”
In a video message posted to X, Phelan said, “Today it gives me great pleasure to terminate all Department of the Navy's testing on cats and dogs, ending these inhumane practices and saving taxpayer dollars.”
Phelan continued, “I commend @POTUS, @SecDef and @DOGE for bringing this to light,” referencing Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and the Department of Government Efficiency.
Good Night, Patriots!
