31st annual Lake Worth Beach Street Painting Festival set to take over downtown

100,000 people expected to attend event

The city of Lake Worth Beach is gearing up for the return of the much-loved Lake Worth Beach Street Painting Festival, taking place on Feb. 22-23.

Celebrating its 31st year, the free, family-friendly event transforms downtown Lake Worth Beach into an open-air gallery featuring more than 600 talented artists who will create stunning works of art using chalk.

Festival hours are set for 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

It was much nicer when it was a more local affair. Now Sunfest is running it, and it's a mob scene. The only people really making any money are the parking concession, who won't even let the local people get to their own homes. I read that what LWB clears out of the deal is a mere $270K. You should find out where that money goes.

Yes much better 30 years ago, gone downhill since. Even the art is worse now.

No place to park. 100k people roaming around like zombies. No thanks.
