Trump Dismantles Fake News Media’s Narrative for High Egg Prices

Democrats love to talk about the cost of eggs, blaming Trump, of course

Addressing the matter, Trump was quick to explain, “Well, there’s a flu. Before I got here, it was already at an all-time high,” pointing out that the inflation woes predated his return. “I’ve been here for three weeks. I have had nothing to do with inflation. This was caused by Biden,” he asserted, highlighting that under his initial four-year tenure, inflation was virtually nonexistent.

Trump confidently added, “I’ll tell you what, this country has made more progress in the last three weeks than it’s made in the last four years, and we’re respected again as a country.”

The first year of Trump’s previous term maintained steady egg prices, with a dozen eggs costing about $1.32 in January 2017. Fast forward to Biden’s administration, where December 2024 saw prices for a dozen Grade A eggs balloon to $4.15, marking a shocking near 200% increase, according to Federal Reserve of St. Louis data.

"When Joe Biden was in the Oval Office or upstairs sleeping, I’m not so sure, egg prices increased 65 percent,” Leavitt pointed out.

The narrative that the Biden administration’s handling, including the directive from the Department of Agriculture to cull over 100 million chickens, had severely impacted the chicken and egg supply, said Karoline Leavitt.
