Effort to sink Hegseth called war of media ambushes, political backstabbing
After a political war broke out over Pete Hegseth, the war veteran and Fox News host picked by Donald Trump to be defense secretary, the strategy of his vocal defenders is to die on a political hill beside him even if GOP senators abandon him.Between his Capitol Hill meetings this week with Republican senators, who will decide his political fate, Hegseth wasn’t very kind to the reporters that were trailing him with cameras and microphones.
