Swift’s recent endorsement of Kamala Harris proves just how out of touch she is with everyday Americans.She might be an icon in the world of pop music, but when it comes to politics, she’s just another celebrity who thinks their fame automatically translates into wisdom. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t.
A recent poll conducted by YouGov makes it painfully clear that Swift’s star power doesn’t extend to politics.
Only 8% of voters said that her endorsement made them “somewhat” or “much more likely” to support Harris. Meanwhile, a significant 20% of those surveyed said that her endorsement actually made them less likely to vote for the vice president.
If that’s not a sign of overreach, I don’t know what is.
