Dems Get Hammered! Dealt Another Devastating Midterm Blow In Court

The new map creates 20 Republican seats and eight Democratic ones all based on the most recent census and 2020 electoral data.

“We are not going to have a 200-mile gerrymander that divvies up people based on the color of their skin. That is wrong. That’s not the way we’ve governed in the state of Florida. And obviously, that will be litigated,” said DeSantis said in response to the criticism of his map.

As quickly as the bill was passed a group led by former US Attorney General Eric Holder said the map violated the State of Florida’s Constitution and sued along with several other groups.

Initially, the courts ruled that the map was unconstitutional and would need to be redrawn but Florida’s 1st District Court of Appeals overturned the ruling.

Holder and other groups immediately appealed to the Florida Supreme court. Much to the horror of Democrats Florida’s highest court announced on June 2 that they will not hear a challenge to the appeals court ruling.[patriotnewsfeed]
