Oh no--you've got to be kidding!!
We always knew when Jeff Clemens was on the CRA and spent $15 million on the Gateways, a loan balance still open, that Clemens had aspirations to bigger and greater political positions.
But now, Jeff Clemens is also generating buzz as a possible CFO candidate for the State of Florida. Clemens, age 43, is moving up in the tax and spend Democratic Party. After serving as mayor of Lake Worth, Clemens, worked in energy conservation and contracting, ran for the Florida House when Mary Brandenburg faced term limits in 2010. Clemens scored a solid victory over Peter Brandenburg, Mary’s husband, in the Democratic primary but very soon he turned his eyes to running for the Senate. His political career almost ended during that election where he beat Mack Bernard by only 17 points in the primary.
Clemens attended Michigan State University, and graduated in 1992 with a degree in journalism, NOT finance, not business, not accounting. Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) are vital to the long-term success of
public and private organizations and Florida is home to 19.32 million people. Being a CFO, one must have advanced knowledge of complex corporate finances – from investments, to
risk management, to mergers and acquisitions.
Florida's budget for last year was $69,975,817,005. The Tax
Foundation research organization ranks Florida among the lowest tax
states (Florida ranks #5 among the 50 states in 2013; only four states
have a lower tax burden). State Sales Tax - 6%; Corporate Tax - 5.5%; State Income Tax - None.
Read about it... and how Clemens might want to be Chief Financial Officer of the State of Florida and in charge of a $70 billion budget after getting some experience as the Vice Chair of the banking and insurance Committee.

The article speaks much more highly of J. Ring over clemens. Really wasn't too positive for clemens. Atwater likely would never be chosen as president for FAU. Atwater is not an academic and that would not cut it with the people at FAU. Time will tell. jeff is a liberal like it says, people are fed up with looser types like that, he was only elected because he is in a band. He played tricks with Mack to even win the primary saying there was a rep. candidate when there wasn't, he is tricky, mean, and bad for us and Florida. His actions speak as loud has his journalistic words and it will all catch up to him sooner or later. Jeff wants respect, but he doesn't want to work for it.
Lake Worth is insane
If Florida has a death wish, it will allow Clemens to become CFO.
