Lake Worth Pool

Comment Up

Navy SEALS at our Lake Worth Beach

The City Commission was presented with three options on our pool last night:

The cost charged to operate our pool (chemicals, filters, maintenance, etc.) on an annual basis is $99,620.  So if you add in the costs below to that figure, that will determine the total cost to operate our pool.

Summer:  12 weeks with a personnel cost of $17,400
Seasonal:  20 weeks with personnel costing $38,950 and operational costs of $22,500
Yearly:  52 weeks with personnel costs of $104,150 and operations $40,860.

To raise money, the City's Recreation Staff will be looking into yearly memberships, water exercise classes, US Navy Seals rentals, summer camp rentals, and Party package rentals where there is plenty of money to be made.

Finally!!!!! A way for you to give back to your community. You've been a big advocate of re-opening the pool. Roll up your sleeves, pitch in, go door to door again, do whatever it takes to make sure the pool is a financially successful endeavor for the city.
Now's your chance.

GOSH!!!! Did you, once again, wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Life must be miserable for ya.

Tell it to the Mayor. She wants it opened all year round.

Now's your chance!!!! The pool is an amenity and as such does NOT need to be financially sustainable. Go tell it to your friend Retha, and ask her how much the Osborne Gym brings in revenue for the city.

The city sure has some miserable people and you are one of them at 9:11. What about working on all that venom or just give it a rest. Not everyone hates like you do and besides, it's not healthy. The vast majority of the residents want the pool to open. You are one loud-mouth voice of the minority on this issue always running your mouth.

Someone just tried to post here calling this blogger a "weirdo." LOL. Please, folks, if you do not agree with me, stop the name calling and personal attacks and just speak to the subject. Is that too difficult to grasp?

Why do the parking assistants have to wear navy long sleeve shirts while walking the parking lot at the beach? I notice Mark Sykes is wearing a light colored shirt. It is just too hot to wear dark long sleeve shirts in the summer....
