Heavily underwritten by tax money, the complex located just off Las Olas Boulevard and Andrews Avenue, Las Olas Riverfront in Fort Lauderdale, has become a ghost town.
When this complex first opened, parking was free and the place bustled. The City got greedy and put in parking meters and everything started to go downhill.
Steve Rosen says,
"Local political idiots touted this waste of money as a big deal years ago. I visited the area during the heyday but like all of our elected officials and their expert consultants with their years of experience that us lowly members of the public now want to do away with per that editorial, they have failed again. This is what years of experience bullchit gets you when bribes and political contributions matter more than doing the right thing."
