Florida Hometown Democracy - Amendment 4 is a Must

Business Insider, May 17, 2010 Headline...

13 Housing Markets That Will Never Recover ( They forgot Lake Worth)

Three of these are in Florida--
  1. Ft. Myers housing prices are down 65% based on 2007 values; current unemployment 14.2%
  2. Orlando housing prices are down 49% based on 2007 values; current unemployment 15%
  3. Palm Coast housing prices are down 63% based on 2007 values; current unemployment 16%
1st Quarter of 2009 nationwide, 300,000 foreclosures and going higher in 2010

Underwater mortgages now at 11 million.

And just think--developers want to stop Florida Hometown Democracy so that they can have it easier to make land-use changes for their benefit...to build even more and to line their pockets while the rest of Florida can't recover from the over-building and sprawl we already have.

St. Pete Beach is still bitching and comparing what happened there to Florida Hometown Democracy. It's like apples and oranges. St. Pete Beach is only 93 miles away from Fort Myers, and 108 miles from Orlando, two cities that will not recover according to Business Insider.

It's time to Vote YES on November 2 for Amendment 4.
