Rod Blagojevich - Democrat Party Hijacked

Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich pushes Republican votes and says socialists seized the Democrats

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich pressed Americans to back Republicans on Sunday, warning socialists have seized the Democratic Party and holding up Zohran Mamdani as the cautionary example.

The ex-governor delivered the message on the “Cats Roundtable” radio program with host John Catsimatidis on 770 WABC while promoting his new book. Blagojevich, once a Democrat who later called himself a “Trump-O-Crat,” told listeners the party he used to lead no longer exists in recognizable form.

He framed the choice in plain terms for the midterms. Stay home, he said, and the country gets more of the same leftward push. Show up for Republicans, and voters protect the country from people he said would wreck it.

The New York Post reported the former governor’s remarks as he mixed book promotion with a direct political appeal and a long-running grievance against Barack Obama.

Blagojevich said:
“The Democratic Party has been hijacked by socialists and communists who hate America. If you want Mamdamis all across America, then stay home and allow the Democrats to win the midterm elections.”

Compass 20 year Lease signed before new Anti-DEI law of January 1

Lake Worth OKs Compass LGBTQ center lease before anti-DEI law starts

By Chris Persaud, Palm Beach Post USA Today Network via Reuters Connect Updated October 29, 2026 9:54 AM

As Florida cities face budget cuts and a new anti-diversity state law looms, the Palm Beach County city that is home to one of Florida's biggest LGBTQ nonprofits will approve a new long-term lease with it.

The Lake Worth Beach City Commission voted 4-1 on Tuesday, Oct. 27, to approve a new 20-year lease with Compass Community Center at its home since 2007, a 12,000 square-foot city-owned building at Dixie Highway and Second Avenue North. City Commissioner Anthony Segrich opposed the deal.

The new lease, starting Dec. 1, amounts to more than $31,500 a year that Compass will pay the city, about a $1,000 increase from what it pays now. The cost of rent will increase by $1,440 each year afterward.

Amendment 3 concerns led one commissioner to oppose Compass lease-- Segrich opposed the lease because the rent amounted to what he called a subsidy of Compass and a loss for taxpayers, especially as voters statewide are casting ballots on Amendment 3, which would raise homestead exemptions and cut property taxes, cities' main revenue source. He also posited that the city may be in danger of breaking a state law that takes effect Jan. 1 that cracks down on "diversity, equity and inclusion" policies.

When Segrich said he feared the city could be sued over the lease, potentially in violation of Florida's new anti-DEI law, City Attorney Glen Torcivia and Mayor Resch, who is also a lawyer, said that law could not apply to city contracts signed before it goes into effect.

Supporters lauded the nonprofit's decades of service, not just for LGBTQ people and people with HIV or AIDS, but also for the public at large. "I believe that building is probably close to a $100,000 loss a year for the city, and it shouldn't be that way," Segrich, a realtor, said Oct. 23 during a meeting to plan the Oct. 27 City Commission meeting.

The rent will not even cover repairs and maintenance, he said. Lake Worth Beach stands to lose an estimated $3.5 million in 2027, and nearly $4.8 million in 2028, if voters statewide pass Amendment 3 and the homestead exemptions rise to $150,000 and then to $250,000. Segrich's fiscal concerns did not sway his fellow commissioners.

Army General fired by Hegseth

Hegseth Orders General Sylvia’s Removal

Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered Army Lieutenant General Brett Sylvia fired from his Joint Chiefs of Staff role, according to a Department of War official quoted in the report.

The official said Sylvia was removed for severe misconduct, including allegedly leaking classified information about the Iran war, the Russia-Ukraine war, and other matters. The investigation was referred to the Department of Justice for further action. The official also said the leaks had become serious enough that Hegseth acted immediately to protect national security.

That account directly challenges The Atlantic’s report, which said no reason had been given for Sylvia’s departure. The Atlantic described Sylvia as the Pentagon’s chief planner and argued that losing the J5 came at a bad time, particularly if President Trump was considering relaunching war operations against Iran.

A former Joint Chiefs official told the magazine that the J5 serves as a critical link between operational forces, department policy, and the White House. The Department of War official disputed that description.

Although Sylvia held the title director of the Directorate for Strategy, Plans, and Policy, known inside the military as the J5, the official said he was not the central planner for an Iran war. That responsibility, the official said, belongs to CENTCOM and its commander, Admiral Cooper.

Audi to build Georgia Plant

Trump touts $4.2 billion Audi plant for Georgia at midterm rally

President Trump announced a $4.2 billion Audi auto plant for Georgia at a campaign rally, a manufacturing win timed just weeks before the midterm elections.

Speaking to supporters in Georgia on Saturday, President Trump said German automaker Audi had committed a major U.S. investment near Macon and framed the project as fresh proof that American manufacturing is coming back. The Hill reported the announcement landed almost a week before November’s midterms, with the White House leaning hard on jobs and industrial growth as voters head to the polls.

Trump told the crowd the company would pour billions into the state and stand up a large production site capable of turning out hundreds of thousands of vehicles a year. He tied the deal to a broader push for factories, tariffs, and domestic production rather than more offshoring.

Audi backed the core claim the same day with a press release saying it plans its first U.S. plant site in Georgia and calling the move one of the brand’s largest production footprints worldwide.

Audi's world headquarters is located in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany and its U.S. headquarters is in Reston, Virginia.

"If you serve your country in a Republican administration, you will go to prison," said Sen Elissa Slotkin.

In April 2022, then-Rep. Slotkin voted along party lines to hold me in contempt of Congress for declining to testify before Congress after President Trump invoked executive privilege.

I was the first senior White House adviser ever imprisoned for honoring that privilege. For half a century, Justice Department policy under both parties held that if Congress can jail the president’s aides for keeping his confidences, the privilege is worthless. A 1984 Justice Department opinion put the rule in writing. It was not invented for Mr. Trump. It protects whoever holds the office.

I kept my oath. Ms. Slotkin put me in prison. She did it with the help of 217 other House Democrats, a Democratic judge, a Democratic jury and an all-Democratic appeals court panel. [Peter Navarro]

Property Taxes outpacing home values in Florida metros

Three Florida metropolitan areas ranked among the nation’s top 10 for property tax growth exceeding home value growth from 2022 to 2024

This is according to a ConsumerAffairs report released ahead of the state’s vote on property tax relief.

The report looked at the 100 largest metros in the country using data from the U.S. Census Bureau and compared the percentage change in median property taxes with the percentage change in median home value.

The national trend shows home values outpacing property taxes between 2022 and 2024. Home values went up 12.4% while property taxes increased 10.6%.

Meanwhile, Florida had three metros in the top ten for the inverse: property taxes outpacing home values. Voters will determine whether to approve Amendment 3, which would increase the homestead tax exemption to $250,000 by 2028.

Omar and her Brother

Report: Obama Admin Uncovered Evidence Against Omar's Marriage

Federal investigators found evidence during the Obama administration suggesting that Rep. Ilhan Omar's 2009 marriage to a man suspected of being her brother was intended to help him obtain a green card, but the case stalled chiefly because prosecutors concluded the suspected offense fell outside a five-year statute of limitations, according to a new report.

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security investigated the marriage in the summer of 2016, current and former officials told The New York Times in a report published Thursday.

The officials' account challenges Omar's characterization of the earlier inquiry as having debunked allegations that she married her brother to help him obtain a green card.

The newspaper said it remains unclear what evidence investigators had establishing that Omar and her former husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, are siblings. Marrying a person to help them obtain a green card is illegal under federal law, while marrying a sibling is illegal under state law.

However, the newspaper noted that it remains unclear whether federal prosecutors could pursue charges against Omar despite the statute of limitations for marriage-based immigration fraud.

Six current and former officials familiar with the 2016 investigation told the Times that agents found evidence suggesting Omar and Elmi were siblings. The officials said investigators had limited tools to develop the case because prosecutors did not pursue it.

Omar has repeatedly denied the allegations about her and her ex-husband.

Sarah Malega has a new and important job

Sarah Malega new Executive Director of the PB County League of Cities

Former Lake Worth Beach City Commissioner Sarah Malega was appointed and introduced as the new executive director of the Palm Beach County League of Cities in October 2026.

• Resignation from City Commission: Because league rules require elected officials to resign upon taking the position, Malega submitted her resignation from the Lake Worth Beach City Commission (District 1) effective October 29, 2026.

From the League's website:

Chartered in 1969 as a non-profit corporation. The purpose of the Palm Beach County League of Cities, Inc., is to promote and advance the collective interest of the municipalities of Palm Beach County, Florida; to analyze municipal issues and seek positive results through cooperative efforts; to respect the principles of Home Rule; and to encourage and enhance the quality of life of the citizens of Palm Beach County.

The League consists of all 39 municipalities in Palm Beach County, as well as over 80 Associate members. The Board of Directors, installed each May, is made up of 18 city officials: four executive officers, one representative from each of the League's five districts, six representatives from the largest municipalities, two at-large seats, and the Immediate Past President, if in office. Past Presidents still in office serve ex-officio.

The Board appoints the Executive Director, who is responsible for the daily business operation of the League. The Executive Director serves as chief liaison to the County Commission, School Board, department staff, and the Legislative and Congressional Delegation.

Teacher Union bosses supporting Muslim El-Sayed

President Of American Federation Of Teachers Randi Weingarten Rallies With Jihadists Abdul El-Sayed And Rashida Tlaib In Michigan

A deeply disturbing video went viral last week showing children at an Islamic school in South Asia being taught the “correct” methods for a husband to beat his wife. The boys act out the beatings with a slipper, a kick, a wooden stick and even a miswak, the twig used as a toothbrush. The girls are made to play along.

If Sharia-loving, Muslim Brotherhood-supporting Abdul El-Sayed wins Michigan’s U.S. Senate race, this is the worldview your kids’ teachers’ unions will have helped send to Washington.

On Monday, Lakia Wilson-Lumpkins, president of the Detroit Federation of Teachers, showed up at El-Sayed’s press conference in Detroit to announce her support for him. She isn’t the only one. As Loomer Unleashed put it, the teachers’ union bosses have “gone all in to support a jihadist.”

As El-Sayed wrapped up the event, a foreign flag was waving behind him. The American flag was nowhere to be seen.

Muslim gives Islamic call to prayer at American county meeting, learns what happens next

'This is the United States of America. Not Saudi Arabia. Not Pakistan. Not Iran. Not any of the 50-plus Muslim countries where the call to prayer blasts from the minarets and everyone already knows the rules. You wanna play that, go home and do it there'

Muslims have no qualms about demanding that they be given special rights.

It's why some airports have "prayer" rooms with mats for followers of Islam, even while other faiths are not accorded the same consideration. There are commercial establishments doing the same thing, as well as some schools.

It's why in some communities, huge amplifiers and loudspeakers blast the Islamic call to prayer daily.

Dearborn, Michigan Muslim Mayor Abdullah Hammoud told Christian pastor Edward "Ted" Barham that he was unwelcome in the city during a heated September 9, 2025, city council meeting.

Now a Muslim has taken the microphone in Clearwater, Florida, at a session of the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners meeting that allows for public comment, and started to play a recording of that call to prayer.

And she was removed from the meeting for violating its rules: It seems that a public comment period is for public comment, not the playing of a recorded event.

Two months before Wedgewood Polls entered her life, Mallory McMorrow was tied for first in Michigan’s Democrat Senate primary at 24%, according to a legitimate Emerson College poll.

Then, on June 24, Wedgewood released its own survey. Abdul El-Sayed led with 46%, Haley Stevens had 39%, and McMorrow was down to 9%; for good measure, the release cast her as the only Democrat who couldn’t beat Mike Rogers in November. She left the race eleven days later.

None of it was real. Wedgewood now admits that nearly everything it published this cycle was fabricated, and the New York Times has quietly pulled 15 Wedgewood surveys from its polling tracker.

McMorrow says the money dried up, her volunteers lost heart, and reporters started asking when she would withdraw. The woman who ran the super PAC backing her says donors pointed to the Wedgewood numbers when they closed their checkbooks.

Four firms exploited that fact in 2026, and the Department of Justice and the state attorneys general, beginning with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, should treat them as the fraudsters they are. [Alexander Muse]

Muslim Brotherhood

RFK Jr. Calls Muslim Brotherhood a Death Cult

This Mid-Term Is a Fight for America’s Soul

RFK Jr. stood in Michigan this week and said the words most officials spent years avoiding. People living under the Muslim Brotherhood, he said, “live inside of a death cult.” He described an ideology of victimization, murder, and genocide.

He said its core is hatred of Jews, hatred of America, and hatred of Western civilization. He said they want to obliterate democracy and install Sharia law under a caliphate. He said naming the group is not Islamophobia. It is accuracy.

That is not a fringe statement. It is a cabinet official describing the documented project of a network whose own 1991 memorandum, recovered by the FBI and entered into evidence in the Holy Land Foundation case, called its work in America a “grand jihad” to destroy Western civilization from within so that Islamic rule would prevail.

The Brotherhood was founded in Egypt in 1928 to restore Sharia as the governing authority over society. Its Palestinian branch is Hamas. Specific Brotherhood chapters in Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan have already been designated terrorist organizations by the Trump administration for material support to Hamas and related violence.

For decades the strategy worked because the name stayed unspoken. Front groups built institutions, influenced policy, and trained Americans to treat any description of the agenda as the real offense. The explicit goal of gradual replacement of Western legal and cultural norms with Sharia was treated as a conspiracy theory rather than a stated plan.

One week remains until the midterms. The networks that prefer an America unwilling to name this contest are organized. So are the Americans who have watched the results of delayed recognition elsewhere. Naming the death cult and the Sharia agenda does not finish the work. It removes one barrier that made the work harder.

Update on Alaska's Dan Sullivan case

DOJ hits steep proof bar in Alaska Senate fight over second Dan Sullivan on the ballot

The Justice Department’s bid to hold Alaska’s Senate certification if a second Dan Sullivan spoils the race now faces a high legal wall, even as critics tie the ballot confusion to Democrat Mary Peltola’s orbit.

Federal lawyers moved to keep Alaska from certifying its U.S. Senate results if incumbent Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan loses and ballots cast for another candidate named Daniel J. Sullivan could have flipped the outcome. The suit, filed roughly two weeks before the Oct. 22 election, seeks time to investigate whether voters picked the wrong man on a ranked-choice ballot stacked with nearly identical names.

The Washington Examiner reported that the Justice Department sued to block those results should “voter confusion” decide a race that could shape control of the Senate. The second Sullivan, a retired schoolteacher listed without a party, drew 2.5% in the primaries, enough to worry Republicans defending a narrow majority.

Ballot labels show the stakes in plain type. The incumbent appears as “Sullivan, Dan S.” with Republican and incumbent tags. The other man appears as “Sullivan, Daniel J. Jr.” with no party line.

Alaska uses ranked-choice voting, so voters mark multiple names in order. That system is now central to the federal theory of how confusion might show up after the fact.
