Stephen Colbert, the Pathetic Trainwreck

Stephen Colbert stood on a stage at Radio City Music Hall and raised $26 million for Joe Biden's presidential campaign.

In 17 days he is gone from CBS

This week he sat down with the New York Times and told them he was never partisan.

The event was March 2024 – Biden, Obama, and Clinton on one stage, with Colbert running the conversation at the biggest Democratic fundraiser in party history. Tickets started at $250.

Photos with all three Democratic presidents cost $100,000.

That is not a comedian doing commentary on power from the outside. That is a man embedded inside the machinery of one political party using his platform to help elect their president.

Now Colbert tells the Times: "Partisan means you're never, ever going to make a joke about a Democrat, and that's just not true."

He hosted the single largest fundraiser in Democratic Party history.

CBS announced it is canceling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in May 2026 after 10 seasons, citing financial reasons and declining advertising revenue. While some speculate the move is linked to political pressure or network mergers, CBS maintains it is a business decision, not a firing based on performance. His final episode is scheduled for May 21, 2026
