Lake Worth High School fight, pepper spray incident sends 32 people to 4 hospitals

44 Fire Rescue units and private ambulances respond to school for 'mass casualty' incident

LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. — More than 30 people were treated and taken to four area hospitals on Thursday after a fight that also involved pepper spray at Lake Worth High School, according to fire rescue.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said they were called to the school at about 12:30 p.m. for the fight.

Fire Rescue Capt. Tom Reyes said that 44 Fire Rescue units and private ambulances responded to the school to "quickly assess, treat and transport" students and faculty who needed assistance.

As of 1:56 p.m., Reyes said they had taken 32 students and faculty to hospitals. They also assessed another 10-12 students, whose family members arrived and decided to take them home.

I hope they took a few people to jail. I happened to see all of the cars and ambulance vehicles when I was driving by. That cost a pretty penny for the city budget. How about if the parents and kids
who are responsible for the disturbance pay for it. Sorry parents, but there has to be someone held to account.
Glad there was no serious injury!

Different school today then when I was there. I wish they had reported on what started the fight and if it ws gang related.

I saw all these fire trucks etc yesterday and was wondering what the hell happened.
