Suspect in lawmaker assassination was Tim Walz appointee
The suspect in the assassination of a Minnesota state lawmaker and her husband, and the shooting of another lawmaker and his wife, is a political appointee of the state's governor and last year's Democratic vice presidential candidate, Tim Walz.He is Vance Luther Boelter, 57, appointed by Walz in 2019 to serve on the governor's Workforce Development Board. Boelter reportedly also leads an international security firm.
