Former Secret Service Agent says the Service does not have the ability to protect Trump
Former Secret Service agent Richard Staropoli issued a stark warning on Thursday, stating that President-elect Donald Trump could face another attack before his inauguration.This comes after two previous assassination attempts during his 2024 campaign, including one where a 20-year-old man got within shooting range of Trump by climbing a building near his rally. Speaking on “America Reports,” Staropoli expressed his lack of confidence in the Secret Service’s ability to protect the president-elect.
According to Staropoli, the agency has become politically compromised and has failed to effectively secure the environment for the president. He criticized the emphasis on using drones and technology, stating that the key to the Secret Service’s success has always been their human intelligence and manpower on the streets.
He even went as far as to predict that there could be a more significant attack than the previous attempts, and he believes the Secret Service is not equipped to handle it.
