Key Witness Against Trump A ‘Jerk,’ Would Often Go ‘Rogue,’ Possibly Suicidal
What does it say about the current fraudulent prosecution of former President Donald Trump, that the state's key witness was a universally hated, serial exaggerator, who would often go rogue and may have been suicidal? It should say a lot.And that describes Michael Cohen, Trump's ex-attorney-turned-Trump nemesis who will soon be testifying against Trump in a court in New York City.
Lawyers for the former president argue that Cohen had acted on his own behalf to make the payments to the porn actress “Stormy Daniels” to cover up Trump's alleged affair before the 2016 election. They add that Cohen tried to distance Trump from him.
The Daily Caller reported: “A witness in the trial of former President Donald Trump testified Thursday that he thought former Trump attorney Michael Cohen was going to “kill himself” over missing out on a spot in the Trump administration.” It noted:
…“‘Jesus Christ, can you fucking believe I'm not going to Washington, after everything I have done for that fucking guy, I can't believe I'm not going to Washington,'” Davidson recalled Cohen as saying. “‘I've saved that guy's ass so many times, you don't even know.'”Cohen, who reported to prison in May 2019, was released to home confinement after about a year as authorities released low-security-risk inmates during a coronavirus outbreak in federal prisons.
