Congress, doing America's Business

Democrats threaten retaliation against Republicans over move to censure Rep. Maxine Waters

Republicans took action with an attempt to censure Mad Max Waters after she urged protesters in Minnesota last weekend to "get more confrontational" if Chauvin was found not guilty in the death of George Floyd.

The judge who presided over Chauvin's trial later rebuked Waters for her comments, and admitted Chauvin's attorneys could use them to argue for a mistrial in appeal.

Democrats ultimately killed the effort to censure Waters initiated by Marjorie Taylor Greene. The motion to punish Waters was tabled in a vote that split down party lines.[Blaze]

On Tuesday, Dem Rep Jimmy Gomez of California revived his idea to expel Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress.
