Only in America would we train our enemies to be as good as we are. To think Saudi Arabia is our friend, is like the woman in the parable who brings the snake home.
The President came across as very crass, when he said the Saudi's will pay the victims families. Would he take money for Barron?
We're supposed to hate the Russians, and the Chinese, and yet I don't remember one terrorist attack by the Russians and the Chinese.
Senator Scott was the only one who got it right, and that's while everyone else was waiting for their handlers to tell them what to say.
And now, we have them in Congress, spewing hatred against us. YET, WHAT DO WE WORRY ABOUT? MEXICANS?
It's okay if they hate us. They think they have their reasons; only don't try to pretend they can be our friends. They are not our friends. Not now, not ever.
If they're not our friends, why does Trump keep protecting them? It's not in the interest of our national security. I'm tired of waiting for him to do something while Americans die.
Personally, I don't worry too much about people dying from drug overdoses. Since they rarely,if ever cure themselves of the noxious habit, it seems to be the only answer available.
Your second paragraph addresses a situation that is so bizarre that no sane person would be able to process it, and yet, there it is: THE FOREIGNER CAN BUY A LEGAL GUN ON OUR MILITARY BASE, BUT THE ENLISTED SERVICE PERSONNEL CANNOT.
Somewhere, way back, a long time ago, we lost it. It seems that there is some weird crossover between money and morals that interferes with our ability to make competent decisions.
I didn’t say that non- citizens can buy a gun on our base— citizen troops can’t have one on the base. Criminals don’t care about our laws or rules. The answer to the opiod crisis is stop the drugs coming into our country and regulate big pharmaceuticals . I worry about all the crime in our country and those out to do us harm. We do need to thoroughly vet all those who come here and even that won’t prevent terrorism. I would like to hear, just once, some Democrat condemning these people.
We have very few "friends" in the Mid-East. We are trying to eradicate ISIS and have needed the help of the Saudis, so we are told. I trust none of them other than Israel.

1:44 strategy; keep friends close and enemies closer. Our president knows Saudis are not to be trusted.
I'd like to think you are right 10:05, but our greed might get in the way of our will to survive.
You could also say: With friends like the Saudis, who needs enemies?
