Train hits 2 vehicles in Lake Worth Beach; woman taken to trauma hospital
This happened at 6th Avenue South which consistently has tie-ups because of trains and problems with crossing gates. This intersection at I-95 and 6th Avenue South is the worst.

Could someone explain to me how a motorist that is not drunk or asleep can "accidently" miss that the gate is down, train lights are flashing, and a train is coming ? Personally, even with all that, I would think most people would look BOTH ways along the track, prior to crossing it, just in case.... I am having a hard time imagining this is like people that decide to cross the road without even looking for cars coming. This is way worse...What is happening?
