Herman Robinson Campaign Kick-Off
I told Commissioner Robinson that I would support him if he did not screw up our beach park. Everyone knows what I mean by "screw up." That is a top priority for me.
I certainly hope people take a hard long look at what you call "not screwing up our beach park"
Specifically the financial ramifications of spending up to $5 million dollars just to "fix the pool" so that it can start to again lose $300,000 per year for a very small number of people who can pay $3.00 per hour on top of pool admission.
It is not the "historic" pool that was originally a salt water pool located behind what is now Mulligans.
I am for having a community pool located in a central location that can be easily accessed by more residents via bike or walking.
The most valuable property in this city should have amenities that enhance our budget, not stress it.
Hey Herman, stop burning money. You guys get a little bit of money and want to spend millions...burns holes in your pockets I guess. Unreal. Fix what we have.
@3:09 where did you come up with $5million to fix our pool? The cost estimate by the engineers put it at $505k. Get a grip. We have always had a pool there. Why do you all want to tear everything down to suit yourself? And no one has had a problem getting to our pool. You are making this into a commercial enterprise when it is a darn park.
