LOL! Haiti summons US official for an explanation of “sh!thole country” remark. If you need an explanation, you validate the term

It's not the criticism of the countries, it's the implication that the people from them have less value than Europeans. This really isn't that hard.

The president has said that he wants immigrants who can contribute to our country...not people immediately going on welfare. Half of these immigrants are on government subsistence. Your interpretation is just that--yours. A Democratic slant to our illegal and immigrant costly problem that affects American citizens in a very big way. Our country does not exist to support the poor of the world.

Europeans are not what they used to be. First of all, when was the last time you heard of a German or Swede or Dutchman coming here? If you take the former Yugoslavian countries, i.e. Albania for example, I would agree, that they are for the most part hard working good future citizens. However, now, you come to the former Soviet Bloc countries, and they hate America, and yet they come here anyway. Another problem, is Pakistan; some are very very educated and rich, while others just join the ranks of urban poor.

The Haitians work hard, and they don't hate us. Color should not be the criteria for who comes here. I'll take 100 Haitians to 1 Chechen!

Just looking at the pictures of Southern California, it dosen't look much different after the fires and mudslides than it does in Haiti.

What happens to the millions of dollars that people like Sean Penn supposedly poor into Haiti?

I just wish the Haitians here would learn English, assimilate into our country and culture and stop shouting so much in public like in World Thrift. Why do they have to talk so loudly and shout so much when they speak to each other. Can't they learn to talk at a normal level of conversation and not shout so loudly when they are in public? I personally find them very annoying here in SF. They are rude, loud, ungrateful, and obnoxious.

Wish these Haitian ladies and nurses would stop beating up on all our seniors and elderly here in SF, the nursing homes are bad, filled with a lot of nasty Haitian nurses who are not nice!

Who would you define as our own, 6:57? Where is the cutoff?

We often detour leaving costco driving though lake Osborne and comment on the shithole apartments, nasty, terrible waste of prime real estate but the poor need housing I suppose. MAGA!

Surprised at your insulting comment, anonymous at 10:46. You Democrats say that you want to help all people, poor or Seniors who no longer are working with salaries. You believe in affordable housing and want to build it all over the place. BUT, you would prefer that this country take in the poor and feed and house them for FREE and throw in medical care. Forget about the American citizen.

At least the Seniors out here are not on government subsistence and pay their way.

You are the prime example of why people don't like Democrats. Hypocrites and nasty to boot.

The most hatred against Haitians I've witnessed with my own eyes and ears has been from African American women. They were quite frank in their disgust and don't want any association with them.

Lynn, don't be so thin skinned. You know very well that parts of Lake Osbourne look terrible. You know what they say: You can dish it out, but you can't take it!

Lynn Anderson said...

Thinned skinned? That's funny. I take more personal crap from you people on a daily basis. Let's be specific here. What parts of Lake Osborne Drive "look terrible?" You already said that my home is on prime property and should be razed. How rude is that?

well 8.10 I thought the way you talk you were smarter.our own are citizens or people trying to become citizens like so many of my neighbors have done.do you really think the ones taking from our medical, food stamps, housing are going to stand by this country when the shit hits the fan.when you get your heads out of the sand it will be to late

Lynn Anderson said...

@9:27...don't know if 8:10 will see your comment.
there are many people here in our city who are illegally here with no intention of becoming a citizen. After all, if they declared they were illegal, they are subject to deportation. They are NOT "our own citizens" as they are NOT citizens. Who cares if they stand by our country? They need to leave.
So I am confused by your comment.

I think it is refreshing for a president to speak his mind and say how he feels not caring what people think, a lot of us feel the same way about this invasion of immigrants in this city county, state, and country now, illegal and legal, they are takers and law breakers, and cause a lot of grief for the rest of us, whether their countries are shtholes or not and that is why they are here or their leaders were greedy and corrupt and took from their countries and that is why they are bad and all the immigrants fled to the USA, they are here, so it must be better, she maybe their countries are shtholes, nonetheless, the USA allowed way too much immigration to take place too fast in a short period of time and this has caused major stress and chaos now in our country and I am glad our current President wants to do something about it and uphold some law finally. All these immigrants coming here, displaying their flags and language and pride of where they are from, but if their country of origin was so great, then why did they have to leave to begin with? A lot of us are trained to be politically correct nowadays, but this is all bs, Merry Christmas and Happy Easter!
