Effective Date: 7/1/2018

Last Action: 1/9/2018 House - Now in Judiciary Committee. It passed its first hurdle yesterday and now moves on to two more committees. Perhaps this year we will finally have a law against texting while driving. It's way past time for this law.

This extra law is like requiring toothpaste to brush your teeth,
law enforcement use laptops, no seatbelt and drive crazy start there

This law is absolutely necessary. There are 1.6 million crashes every year by people taking their eyes off the road and texting. It's ridiculous that we have allowed it to continue for so long.

The driving texters put all other drivers at risk when they share the road with them.

Thank God the law to criminalize these selfish actions is about to be passed.

If you have ever been behind someone that is texting, its like watching a drunk drive.
