The Atlanta Braves announced today that the organization has picked Sarasota County for its new spring training complex. The team is in exclusive negotiations with the county and the city of North Port to move operations as soon as the 2019 spring season.

Now, Hudson has to sell the Gulfstream and leave the beach alone and get out of town.

Thank God! The Sarasota site seems ideal for what the team and the community needs. And they are not destroying the area's only PUBLIC PARK for heavens sake !!!!Once an area like John Prince Park is gone,IT IS GONE !!!! This is wonderful news!
There needs to be an immediate STOP to secret dealings done by our city manager and City Commissioners .We the people need to know EVERY move that our fat /happy/and now very well paid city Commissioners are doing!
