Planters Painted - Downtown Lake Worth

Sprucing up the planters
Vibrant colors for our vibrant downtown...missed a shot of the green one. I saw Commissioner Amoroso down on his hands and knees painting one.

Painting flower pots downtown(grandstanding?)does not fund the $98,000,000,- unfunded Pension Fund, of all City employees, who when retiring,will find themselves without pensions, forced to go on well fare and food stamps, thanks to the Lake Worth City Commission members, who claim to have brought progress and DEMAND to be re-Elected, to continue more of same arrogant,nefarious promises, incompetence,hollow statements...Lake Worth has the highest property tax rate,millage rate 8.9,Palm Beach 2.4,Manalapan,3.9.when this crop started!! Finance Director is leaving Titanic-Lake Worth. Maxwell,who did nothing wants you to give him $12,000,,- to run unopposed, no campaign needed,just play Santa Claus for the proven useless.
What does this commission or painting the flower pots have to do with pensions? 1:39 Run against Maxwell. I'll bet you the amount of money you put into your campaign that you lose by 30 points. You can always count on negativity on this blog no matter what the issue is.
You can count on people making statements that you don't agree with. That's about it, anonymous. I believe what the poster was intimating was the time being spent by a commissioner on something that they consider frivolous compared to what they should be concentrating on, the unfunded liability that NO COMMISSIONER EVER TALKS ABOUT or even understands its dire consequences.
Painting the cast concrete creates a maintenance problem because now they will always have to be painted instead of presure cleaning them. And the colors are too garish, who chose the colors? Bad decision by someone!
We do have a problem maintaining things. Let's hope this paint will not wear off when pressured cleaned. I still like the colors, a lot. They are fun and artistic looking.
I SEE ANDY STARTING TO PAINT--THE REASON IS HE KNOWS WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE DOING TO CLEAN UP WHILE HE HAS DONE VERY LITTLE---HE IS JUST FORCING HIMSELF AT THIS POINT
Andy has a monthly clean up in the nighborhoods. Andy is always engulfed in community projects. Andy doesnt get paid for volunteer projects such as this one.
The colors of the planters are really garish, in my opinion, and distract from the charm and beauty of our downtown. The multi-colored Adirondack chairs in front of Mulligans are also garish and clash, in terms of colors and style, with the Casino building. I can't stand to look at them. Let's tone it down, Lake Worth. We're trying to attract people to our downtown. Not blind them.
When I was downtown this past weekend, one of the painted planters was either already fading or wearing off or it was only half painted. Either way it looked horrible.

The CRA paid Amoroso to paint the planters.

Can we ever get the CRA out of our downtown? They belong in the blighted areas, not in our downtown.
