Florida Hometown Democracy

Florida Hometown Democracy is leading in the Polls but not enough to pass in November according to a Group opposed to FHD and the very one that conducted the Poll. Florida Hometown Democracy, in order to pass, must get over 60% of the vote. The latest Poll taken by Leadership Florida has it at 51% ahead. This is the Group created by the Florida Chamber of Commerce. Just who do they think they are kidding?

For the past year, an opposition group was trying to get a competing measure on the ballot that called itself Floridians for Smarter Growth. They failed to qualify for the ballot, but they are using their same apparatus to fight against Amendment Four. They’re now called Citizens for Lower Taxes and Stronger Economy.

These groups always come out with the warm and fuzzy names that we all say "yes" to the minute they introduce themselves but they are all adorned in sheep's clothing with the sole purpose of spending big bucks to defeat the grassroots and hold on to the power. The question will be, will Florida Hometown Democracy be able to do an effective campaign within the next 7 months and win against all these millions? If you listen to all their propaganda, you wouldn't think so but if but the people know better.

Last night at Evening on the Avenues, I ran into Stevie and Kyle passing out FHD palm cards. We all need to spread the word.

If you have any questions regarding this ballot initiative, please go to Florida Hometown Democracy's web site and learn more. We also need donations.

Let's put Florida back in the hands of the voters.
